30 Days of Mourning June 3

SomeONE or someTHING we love dies. We grieve (internal feelings). Maybe we mourn (external sharing). Let’s mourn together.

Who are we mourning today? Today I am grieving and mourning Valentina Blackhorse, 28, who dreamed of leading the Navajo Nation. She died on April 23, one day after the she tested positive for the Coronavirus. The Navajo Nation has been hit hard by COVID-19 and has immediate needs. You can donate to the Navajo Nation here https://www.nndoh.org/donate.html

WHAT are we mourning today? Today I am grieving and mourning our deep lack of public leaders of integrity and grit, who are committed to our collective well-being and doing the right thing. (And as I mourn them, I am declaring that leaders of the highest integrity and committment are stepping up now.)

Who and what are you grieving and how are you mourning?

Whatever you are grieving today, please know that you do not mourn alone. Let’s heal together.
